City Manager

Kent began his new position in Leander on November 29, 2011. He started his public service with City of Lubbock as an Administrative Analyst in May of 1987 and was also a Budget Analyst in Plano, Budget Director in Carrollton and Assistant City Manager in Duncanville. Kent spent the last ten years as City Manager of Duncanville. He received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Texas Tech University.

Kent is active in the Texas City Management Association, International City Management Association and various community and civic organizations.
