DO YOU HAVE A LEAK?
If your water consumption is noticeable higher than usual, you may have a leak. You may be eligible for an adjustment. For consideration, you will need to supply the Utility Office in writing the following:
· Explanation of the problem
· Copy of the plumbing bill or,
· Receipts from the purchase of the plumbing supplies (if you repaired the leak yourself). The receipt dates must be within the leak’s timeframe.
Adjustments are a courtesy and are only allowed once every (3) years.
Disclaimer: The City is not responsible for damage to property as a result of sewer back-ups, water main breaks, acts of nature, etc. You must file a claim with your homeowner’s insurance company.
