9-1-1 Dispatcher Eligibility Posting                          

The department is taking applications for 9-1-1 Dispatcher.  This will be for an eligibility list.  Application, posting and job description available in the documents section.

Application and typing test from Texas Workforce Commission due June 21, 2013 at 5 pm. Written test for applicants meeting minimum qualifications June 29, 2013 at 9 am.

Sworn Officer Requirements:

• At least 21 years of age
• A U.S. citizen
• Possess a Valid Texas Drivers License
• Clear Criminal History
• High School Diploma or GED
• Pass a Written Exam
• Pass a Physical agility test
• Pass an Oral Interview Board 
• Pass a thorough Background investigation
• Must be a certified Peace Officer or currently enrolled in an academy at the time of application and attending an academy by time of job offer
